Men's Fellowship

Theology: Jesus said to his disciples .. “The greatest among you should be, like the youngest and the one who rules like the one who serves.  For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves?  But I am among you as one who serves.  You are those who have stood by me in my trials.  And I confer upon you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom and sit on the thrones, judging the twelve tribes.” (Luke 22:26-30).

 

 

The Mission of the Men’s Fellowship Group

 

* Be a visible and participative Christian body in the church, fostering the male role in the Church, to rekindle our commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and our calling to serve Him and His people in St. Simon’s Church and Community.

 

* Be positive, Christian role models for male youth with demonstrative evangelism.

 

* Collectively planning projects and implementing them as income generating programs to satisfy some of the financial needs of our Church.

 

* Provide support to the Vestry in establishing a committed and successful community outreach program.

 

* Thrive to create a programs that support the needs of the Children/Youth and elderly of the Church.

 

* Keep in the forefront, the name and focus of the Mission of St. Simon, not only in the neighborhood but also in and beyond the city of New Rochelle.

 

* Give full report on the activities of the committee to the monthly Vestry meeting and to the Annual meeting of the Parish.
