HOMEBOUND VISITATIONS MINISTRY
Episcopal Diocese of New York training workshops are scheduled during the year for all who have been approved by the priest-in-charge to visit parishioners and to bring them the sacrament.
The training focuses on the theology of the Eucharist, the approved liturgy for the distribution of the sacrament by lay persons outside of the church building and the basics of pastoral interaction with the infirm and shut-ins.
Written permission to attend must be obtained from the parish priest. And, all Eucharistic Visitors must take the Diocese of New York "Sexual Harassment and Exploitation Prevention" course.
