Mother Judith Alexis will be guest priest at St. Simon's on July 29 and August 12.
She is the priest-in-charge of Eglise de l'Epiphanie (Church of the Epiphany), an Episcopal Haitian congregation at St. John's Episcopal Church in Stamford, CT, and part of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut.
The congregation was formed in 1990 and has steadily grown. Today it includes programs for children and adults, some of whom are recent immigrants. One Sunday a month, the worship service is conducted in Haitian Creole.
There is also a successful summer program for Haitian children in the community.
On Saturdays, help is offered with immigration issues and there is a program for children and computer classes.
