On Sunday, October 20th, the St. Luke Group of St. Simon's Church hosted its Twentieth Annual Fall Luncheon at Juliano’s Restaurant, with an attendance of almost 200, including those from sister churches and other denominations and organizations.
This was the largest St. Luke Annual Luncheon ever.
The guest speaker was New York State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
2012 October 21 - 19th Annual Luncheon Jill Bradshaw-Soto has been confirmed as the speaker for the St. Luke Group 19th Annual Luncheon which will take place on Sunday, October 21st at Juliano's Restaurant in New Rochelle. She will be focusing on the principles of the Affordable Care Act.
Jill Bradshaw-Soto heads Legal Services of the Hudson Valley's office in Mount Vernon, which has one of the largest poor and low-income populations in Westchester. In addition to handling a full caseload of her own, she is responsible for case strategy and management, daily client intake and mentoring of staff. She also has built strong ties with the City of Mount Vernon and the many local non-profit organizations that address matters of concern to economically disadvantaged individuals and families.
Ms. Bradshaw-Soto joined Legal Services of the Hudson Valley in 1998 as a housing attorney in its White Plains office and was subsequently named managing attorney of its Yonkers office prior to assuming her current position. Her prior experience includes work as a special assistant and corporate counsel for the City of New York's Paternity and Support Unit and as a legal advocate in the Osborne Association's Alternative to Incarceration Program in the Bronx.
She received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and has a BS in administration of justice from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She received her paralegal certification from Mercy College.
